Meet ACCA Artist Educator Andrew Atchison, Marsh Award Recipient
Alongside colleagues from galleries and art museums across the globe, ACCA Artist Educator Andrew Atchison recently received the coveted Marsh Award for Excellence in Gallery Education (International).
The Marsh awards celebrate the work of colleagues working within the global gallery, museum and visual arts education sector. Funded by the Marsh Christian Trust, they are organised by Engage, a UK based advocacy and training network for gallery education, representing arts educators, organisations, freelancers and artists from across the UK and over 20 countries worldwide.
The 2020 award ceremony was held online, and recognised those who responded to the extraordinary challenges presented by the global COVID19 pandemic in the most creative ways. Andrew was recognised for creating Talk Think Public Art, a program that supports students to encounter public artworks and learn about the unique opportunities and challenges of making art for public space.
