This exhibition included a new series of photographic works that combined visual elements from Dante’s narrative with Polaroid photography. In these works, Hall questioned the idea of the photograph as a recorder of reality by setting up constructed tableaux using repoussé, a metalworking technique in which a malleable metal is ornamented or shaped by hammering from the reverse side to create a design in low relief.
