Dr Terry Wu joins ACCA Board of Directors

This week ACCA welcomed Dr Terry Wu to the ACCA Board of Directors.

Terry is an established advocate and supporter of contemporary art and dance in Australia, with extensive Board experience, focused on philanthropic engagement and strategic development, as well as a commitment to supporting artists and the making of new works.

In 2014, Terry established John Street Studios to provide quality affordable studio spaces for visual artists in inner-city Melbourne. In 2018, Terry extended this approach to contemporary dance by launching WXYZ Studios in North Melbourne with Lucy Guerin Inc.

Terry joins the Board at time when ACCA continues to expand its delivery, particularly its ambitious and agenda-setting artistic and education programs, and further extend the vital role it plays as a leading producer of new work by contemporary Australian and international artists.

ACCA Chair John Denton said: ‘Terry has extensive networks both nationally and internationally and has shown a unique approach to supporting artists and institutions. Terry’s expertise and innovative visionary approach will make a great contribution to ACCA’s role in leading cultural conversations and setting the agenda for contemporary Australian and international art’.
