A practical ‘nuts and bolts’ breakdown of the processes involved in creating public artworks – from idea to installation. Also incorporated are examples of working drawings, plans and maquettes showing the inventive methods that artists use to develop major public artworks.

This resource maps a trail between ten public artworks within Melbourne that exemplify the diverse approaches taken by artists making art for public space. This section incorporates definitions of key terms, which are underlined throughout.
