ACCA’s three gallery spaces were given over to the presentation of a number of performative events by key Australian performance artists.
1. Elasticity and Volume (17-20 April)
Four film and video installations that questioned the boundaries between bodies and space, architecture and film.
Exhibiting Artists: Margie Medlin, Stephen Bram, Jaqueline Everitt, Ben Anderson
2. The Performing Body (21– 26 April)
Video program selected by Natalie King and Anne Marsh of performance works by Australian and international artists from the 1960’s to the 1990’s.
Exhibiting Artists: Vito Acconci, Joseph Beuys, Gilbert and George, Joan Jonas, Mike Kelley, Mike Parr, Stelarc, Hannah Wilke, Ken Unsworth
3. A series of one night performances and a seminar around performance and documentation. Including Situation Live by Shelley Lasica and Female Factory by Mike Parr.
