Callum Morton: Babylonia

Sat 8 Oct 2005–
Sun 4 Dec 2005

ACCA Main Exhibition Gallery

Callum Morton has reinvented the heroic moments of modernism to be re-encountered as a fun park of aesthetics and fantasy utopia. In this sculptural installation and architectural extravaganza, Morton invents a new world order of post-humanity made real. Think 007, imagine mini golf, remember L'Aventura, and HG Wells, consider Corbusier and needless to say Niemeyer. Welcome to Tomorrow today. Morton touched you down into the belly of the fun park that has become our post-Venturian, Ur-history existence.

Callum Morton's Bablylonia was the first Helen Macpherson Smith Commission.
