ACCA’s Artistic Director Juliana Engberg was guest curator of the 2009 Edinburgh International Festival Visual Arts Program. She presented nine projects including a major installation by renowned conceptual artist Joseph Kosuth at the University of Edinburgh, Talbot Rice Library and gallery. Works by Gabrielle de Vietri, Susan Norrie, Greg Creek, Juan Cruz, Tacita Dean, Lee Mingwei, Joshua Mosley and Nathan Coley were at the National Galleries of Scotland, Dean Gallery, Collective Gallery and Festival Hall. As a result ACCA was mentioned in major international press, radio and television coverage and the Victorian artists exhibited received much interest. Juliana Engberg was awarded the prestigious Herald Angel Award by the Edinburgh Herald Critics for her program.
