ACCA, Dallas Brooks Drive, The Domain
Works for the exhibition Faraway were made in Japan during Weary’s residency at the Australia Council’s Tokyo studio. Filmed at the Yasukuni War Shrine and Museum, the Imperial Palace and the ground floor of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, Weary presented a multi-textual reading of the cultural condition of Japan.
