“How much beauty can I stand?” Contemporary Landscape Painting

19 Mar–20 Apr 1986

ACCA, Dallas Brooks Drive, The Domain

This exhibition explored the contemporary revival of landscape painting through the work of six artists. This revival was linked to a contemporary interest in both European and Australian painting from the past. The show aimed to challenge the role of landscape in the Australian tradition and the perceived isolation of Australian artists from European painting and history.
