Jean Baudrillard: The Ecstasy of Photography

15 Jul–14 Aug 1994

ACCA, Dallas Brooks Drive, The Domain

Brought to Australia for the first time by the Institute of Modern Art in Brisbane, this exhibition presented 50 photographs by prominent French writer, theorist and artist, Jean Baudrillard. The works depicted cities and landscapes from around the world and were a clear articulation of Baudrillard’s idea that “The stupefying power of the photo is far superior to that of writing”.
