Suzanne Treister: Q. Would You Recognise a Virtual Paradise?

25 Mar–24 Apr 1994

ACCA, Dallas Brooks Drive, The Domain

Previously trained and based in London, and then living in Adelaide, Treister showed recent paintings, photographs and ‘pseudo’ computer games. Her work raised questions about the social impact of computer technology, specifically the violence and sexism inherent in video arcade-style computer games and recent developments in virtual reality. This was one of three exhibitions programmed at this time that dealt with recent computer interventions.
