ACCA Open digital artworks have been commissioned by ACCA to link from this website, but remain the property and ultimate responsibility of the commissioned artist.

ACCA does not make any guarantees, representations or warranties in respect of any artworks, including in relation to quality, operability or data security and has no responsibility or liability for any loss, damage, cost or expense you might incur if you interact with these artworks, including arising from any data breach, virus or other contamination.

Notice and disclaimer in relation to Amrita Hepi and Sam Lieblich, Neighbour 2020:

The artists Amrita Hepi and Sam Lieblich are using a third-party service provider, Landbot to host and operate this artwork. The Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA) has no control over Landbot, and as a result ACCA:

  • does not make any guarantees, representations or warranties in respect of the artwork or Landbot, including in relation to quality, operability or data security
  • has no responsibility or liability for any loss, damage, cost or expense you might incur if you interact with the artwork, including arising from any data breach, virus or other contamination.

The text you provide as part of your engagement with this artwork may be stored, used and published by the artist for future artworks, promotions or any other purposes, provided that such text will be anonymised. Do not provide any harmful, inappropriate or sensitive information (including personal information) as part of your interaction with the artwork.

Your interaction with the artwork:

  • will not be subject to ACCA’s Privacy Statement
  • may be subject to Landbot’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

If you submit any information (aside from personally identifiable information), including but not limited to copyrightable material, ideas, concepts, know-how, business methods, inventions, discoveries, improvements or techniques (“Intellectual Property”), you thereby grant the artists to a worldwide, nonexclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license (with right to sublicense) to use, modify, publish, display, copy, reproduce, perform publicly, and create derivative works of such Intellectual Property. You may not submit or transmit to or from the Site any unlawful, threatening, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, suggestive, inflammatory, or profane material, or any other material that could give rise to any civil or criminal liability under the law.

The artist will only collect contact and other personally identifying information, such as your name, and e-mail address (“Personal Information”), when voluntarily submitted by you, such as when you contact us or complete an online form or request. If you do not want us to collect any Personal Information, do not submit it to us.

Your Personal Information may be stored and used by the artists to create a personalized experience for you and to get in touch with you when necessary with respect to transactions conducted through the Site or services that ACCA may offer or otherwise. If you do not wish to receive such materials, you may opt-out.

ACCA Privacy Statement:

When you supply ACCA with personal information, such as through the subscription process, the information is kept confidential, held and used for the purpose for which the information is collected and for related purposes within your reasonable expectations. We may share your information with our agents, dealers, partners, contractors and other third parties that help us provide these purposes. This may include: 

  • sending you information, such as eNewsletters, if you have requested them
  • promoting or marketing ACCA, our exhibitions and products
  • answering your queries or requests or regarding any application you may have made for employment or volunteering
  • fulfilling any legal requirements
