This full day professional development program is for VCE Art and Studio Arts teachers wanting to strengthen their understanding of contemporary art issues and ideas through exploring art practices and processes.
Contemporary artists continue to adapt and respond to shifting times and contexts, using new media and technologies, and diverse approaches to making and presenting art. This is an ideal professional learning opportunity for teachers looking for ideas and strategies to assist students with interpreting and discussing contemporary art.
The program will focus on the practices of contemporary artists in ACCA’s exhibition Dwelling Poetically: Mexico City, a case study. Participants will be guided through responding and making activities to assist with key areas of Art and Studio Arts study designs.
