Join ACCA Education for our free, drop-in program for children and their families to enjoy art-making in the galleries inspired by ACCA’s exhibition Mithu Sen: mOTHERTONGUE.
Participants will contribute to a collaborative artwork inspired by the work of Mithu Sen, as well as creating their own art works exploring the ideas and materials from the exhibition.
Mithu Sen is a contemporary artist based in New Delhi, who explores the complexities of identity and society through her work. Her art often incorporates language and performance to challenge how we communicate and interact with each other. Mithu Sen: mOTHERTONGUE at ACCA presents a survey of Sen’s art practice over the past 20 years, including major new installations.
Participants will work with tactile materials to experience how artists work with technologies and materials to create new relationships and artworks.
Ages 3 – 10 years
All children are to be accompanied by an adult or carer.
