Ivan Muñiz Reed, is a founding member and co-director of The Curators' Department, is currently completing a PhD looking at decolonial aesthetics and perspectives from the global south and was previously Assistant Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia. As an independent curator Ivan has facilitated a series of cross-cultural projects between his native Mexico and adopted Australian home aiming to provide increased visibility to Mexican art and culture in Australia.
