Wheelchair Access

ACCA is fully wheelchair accessible, with a wheelchair accessible bathroom. No need to call ahead, just come on in. We also have a wheelchair available for use in the gallery, just let us know at the front desk.

There are two accessible car spaces on Sturt Street, right outside our entrance.

If taking Public Transport, there are two tram journey options. Both options connect with Flinders Street Station:

Take Route 1, which travels along Sturt Street and straight to ACCA’s front door. Alight at Stop 17 (accessible stop) at the Recital Centre and continue south down Sturt Street to ACCA’s front door at 111 Sturt Street.

Alternatively, Take Routes 3, 5, 16, 64, 67, 72 along St Kilda Road. Alight at Stop 17 (accessible tram stop) on the corner of St. Kilda Road and Grant Street and continue down Grant Street, approximately 450m to ACCA’s entrance on Sturt Street, near the corner of Grant Street and Sturt Street.

Auslan Interpretation

For live public programs and events in the gallery, Auslan interpretation can also be arranged for in-gallery events with 7 days notice. Contact our Public Programs team via email at: programs@acca.melbourne or call us on 9697 9999 for programs enquiries and to discuss access requirements.

Captions and Transcripts

ACCA videos, including exhibition videos and recorded public programs, have closed captions. ACCA makes transcriptions available for all recorded programs on request. Assistance Dogs

Guide and assistance dogs are welcome at ACCA.

Companion and Carer Support

Companion card holders can obtain free access to ACCA’s paid programs. 
We accept companion cards registered in Victoria and interstate.

Travellers Aid

Travellers Aid provides mobility support by offering equipment hire, including manual wheelchairs, motorized scooters and personal guidance services. To hire equipment, visit the Travellers Aid Service Centre at Flinders Street Station or call 03 9610 2030.
