ACCA, Dallas Brooks Drive, The Domain
An installation that involved a darkened room at the end of which lay a low bed of red sandpaper, lit by the dim glow of a blue light at its head. The other end of the room contained a sink filled with dark blue ink, visible only by the light cast from the hallway as one entered the room. As soon as the door closed, the sink became invisible, leaving only a memory or trace. The two pools – the pool of light and pool of liquid – suggested memory and its opposite, the oblivion of memory.
