ACCA, Dallas Brooks Drive, The Domain
This installation explored the physical and emotional absences created by death during the AIDS epidemic. Donaldson recreated a lecture theatre, complete with slide projection and dimmed lighting, which was empty until the audience entered it. Sombre and stark this work presented a theatre of remembering and loss.
