Graphic Designer (0.6)

ACCA is seeking an experienced designer to join our team. The Graphic Designer contributes to ACCA’s artistic, engagement and institutional objectives through the development of graphic design across exhibitions, public programs, marketing campaigns, social media channels, digital platforms, annual reports and other strategic documents and special projects. This position supports both structured campaign delivery and responsive ad hoc digital content to maintain agility across ACCA’s communications.

Key responsibilities include shaping and producing clear, consistent and accessible visual communication across print and digital formats for diverse audiences, ensuring alignment with ACCA’s brand, visual identity and voice.

Working in collaboration with heads of departments across curatorial, engagement, visitor experience and education, this role supports the creation of exhibition and program identities and marketing assets that enhance visitor experience and reflect ACCA’s artistic program and values.

This is a part-time, FTE 0.6 position, 3 days per week, on a fixed term 24-month contract (renewable by mutual agreement).

$80,000 per annum at a pro rata rate of 0.6 = $48,000 per annum, plus superannuation (currently 12%)

The position is primarily based onsite at ACCA.

Internships

Internship positions for 2025 are currently filled.

ACCA has limited capacity to offer Internships. We aim to offer 1–2 curatorial internships per year either by application; in partnership with accredited academic programs and university placements; or when an individual’s area of study is closely aligned to a particular exhibition. We do not currently offer internships in other departments.

Work Experience

Work experience positions for 2025 are currently filled.

ACCA offers two work experience placements each year for secondary students. Students gain understanding about all aspects of the organisation, while completing a self-directed project. Enquiries from prospective student applicants should be directed to education@acca.melbourne.
