ACCA, Dallas Brooks Drive, The Domain
Adam Cullen presented a series of new paintings which blended abstract and figurative forms, combining graffiti style motifs, simple stick figures, text and colour fields. Using personal and diaristic text and images, Value explored the notion of the failed personality and the attendant themes of violence, death and sex. Value was Cullen’s first major solo exhibition in Melbourne.
