NEW03

15 Mar–11 Apr 2003

ACCA Main Exhibition Gallery

NEW03 was the inaugural exhibition in ACCA’s series of annual showcases for commissions by younger artists. Six outstanding young artists were given the opportunity to create ambitious works supported by the curatorial team at ACCA. The NEW initiative recognised the need for professional development support of artists to meet the challenge of full-scale installation within the large-scale architecture of ACCA. This was the biggest exhibition opportunity thus far for each of the participants and fulfilled ACCA’s ethos of developing and encouraging artistic growth for younger Australian artists to a mature level of practice.

Exhibiting Artists: Emily Floyd, Christine Morrow, Andrew McQualter, David Rosetzky, Daniel von Sturmer, Louise Weaver

Curator: Juliana Engberg
