The annual ACCA International presents the work of a renowned international artist at significant moments in their career, offering Australian audiences the opportunity for an in-depth engagement with significant examples of international contemporary art practice. In 2018 ACCA is pleased to present the first solo exhibition in Australia of Irish-born, London-based artist Eva Rothschild. Influenced by minimalist sculptural forms of the 1960s and 1970s, classical architecture, spirituality and the nature of visual perception and materiality, Rothschild is best known for her abstract sculptural works constructed from an array of materials including leather, paper, Plexiglas, jesmonite, steel and wood.
Art Club meets monthly both at ACCA and offsite to explore and discuss the wide-ranging subjects and strategies that inspire artists, curators and audiences. In 2018, Art Club will meet eight times per year from February–November on Thursday nights, 6–8pm with members of ACCA’s curatorial team and special guests.
