KIDS: Banner Making with Anna Dunnill

Thu 25 Jan 2018

This is a past program.
Main Exhibition Gallery

Join artist Anna Dunnill to create a colourful textile banner that really says something about its maker. Using an array of materials and different fixing techniques, learn how to fashion pockets and hidey-holes in your banner for treasures, trinkets and secret messages that reveal aspects of your personality.

This workshop is for children and families, suitable for ages 3-12 years. $10 per child, parents and guardians are free. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
All materials provided – feel free to bring along your own collection of small objects (a few stones, shells etc.) to incorporate into your banner.

Anna Dunnill is a Melbourne-based artist and writer, and a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts. In addition to her solo practice she is one half of Snapcat, a performance-based collaboration with Renae Coles exploring bravery, feminism and collective action.
