Join us for a special rare screening of a Claire Lambe favourite – Ticket of No Return (1979) by Ulrike Ottinger on Wednesday 7 June, 6pm for a 6:30pm start.

A surreal, darkly humorous and highly stylised film, Ticket of No Return follows a silent female character, only known as ‘she’, who decides to withdraw from a life of privilege and books a one way ticket to East Berlin to spend her days drinking.

Exploring and subverting ideas of female archetypes, the woman as an object, the delineation of self and other, and female agency and desire, Ticket of No Return resonates concepts in Claire Lambe’s current solo exhibition, Mother Holding Something Horrific in an uncanny chronicle of ‘she’.

Come along from 6pm to view the exhibition, pick your seat and enjoy a complimentary Gin and Tonic by ACCA Event Partners The Melbourne Gin Company and Capi.
The screening will commence at 6:30pm sharp.
