6-8pm
Join us for a junk journaling session at ACCA with Wilty Meetups.
A bit about Wilty Meetups:
It all started with strangers meeting at the park.
Wilty Meetups is a community for silly introverts in Naarm/Melbourne to make new friends. Ever since 2022, they have been gathering monthly for various social catch-ups, creative workshops and side quests.
Why do they exist? Because social isolation and loneliness are so last year. Everyone needs people and everyone needs community.
The Wilty Meetups community now comprises of over seven thousand ‘Wilty Buds’ and they are just getting started. Their events aim to create safe spaces for mindful connection and creativity and to empower participants to show up authentically (even if you’re a little bit shy).
A bit about Wiltyplant:
Sami Jenkins is a content creator, founder and student in Naarm/Melbourne. She runs Wilty Meetups and creates videos on her social media page (@wiltyplant). With her account she hopes to spread joy, tell interesting stories and help her audience feel less alone.
Sami is currently studying a Diploma of Mental Health and working in marketing.
A bit about junk journaling:
Junk journaling is a creative art form that blends scrapbooking, collaging and journaling. Utilising personal items like magazine clippings, old journal entries, ticket stubs or scrap paper, it’s a low-pressure way to unwind, reflect and ultimately make something beautiful.
Whether you’re a seasoned scrapbooker or just getting started, it’s the perfect creative activity for all experience levels.
