Pierre et Gilles were French artists working at the forefront of contemporary art and gay popular culture in the 1980s. This was their first exhibition in Australia and comprised 20 elaborately framed, large-scale, hand coloured photographic works. The subject matter of the works ranged from saints to Rupert Everett and the Marquis de Sade. Presented in association with Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery and the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras
