Join us for a night of DIY cinema celebrating man's best friend at Farnsworth's Republic for Dogs, an off-leash world for Melbourne’s much-loved four-legged friends by acclaimed artist Anastasia Klose.
Doggie Woggiez Poochie Woochiez, presented by Speakeasy Cinema and ACCA, is a hysterical and downright trippy reclamation of analogue video. Los Angeles collective, Everything Is Terrible, have combed through every op-shop VHS they could lay their hands on to select footage of dogs doing what dogs do and have mashed it and smashed it into a reboot of Jodorowsky’s opus The Holy Mountain. Described by Time Out as "a work of genius; absurd, brilliant and stupid".
Classic dog films will be screened inside a series of kennels for our four-legged visitors, there will be pupcorn courtesy of foodiedog.com.au. Lucky Chair prizes include a $50 gift voucher from Gourmet Pawprints Doggy Winery Tours, and some quality pet care products from Orivet.
